I might be stating the obvious here, but twice recently I've headed over to a restaurant only to find they are on vacation for a few days or a week. Don't be a doofus like me, call first, it's that time of year. Thai Nadia closed for a few days around the fourth of july and that was no biggie, I get to go there often. But I finally dragged John to that soup place in the new Doylestown shops because we had a tourney in town. I've been really wanting to try it. But they were closed for a vacation. Oh well, the hoagies and fried cheese sticks we got at the hoagie works were plenty good, as was the fun banter. He he, where ever we go John ends up getting teased. :)

Oh yeah, one more thing, again probably obvious. Lots of managers and experienced help go on vacation about now also. Grabbed a quick bite at the Costco food court today. I've never had a negative experience there before but my fries had lots of little black specks on them and my hand dipped ice cream bar somehow didn't have the chopped nuts on them. There was only one guy manning the counter and getting the food and he didn't seem to be all that busy so it was a puzzling experience for a place that stresses consistent quality.
