Seafood Markets in Dublin

I just agreed to go to Dublin in September and help make a surprise birthday party for my best friend. We've decided on a cocktail party on Saturday evening. I need help locating seafood markets for fresh cocktail shrimp and maybe jumbo lump crabmeat. I'm also looking for specialty cheese shops and bakeries (for some chocolate goodies). I know that the Temple Bar Market is on Saturday, but I'm worried that I won't be able to find everything there (and I'd also like to start cooking the day before). Any ideas?

There are no seafood markets as such in Dublin, but retail stores instead. As I don't know where you are: on the southside, go for Cavistons and on the north, Wrights of Howth. They will help you source anything but give them a ring beforehand. Sheridans cheesemongers on south Ann St are bang on for cheese in excellent condition and Les Maison des Gourmets and The Cake Cafe bake on order. Speciality food shops are limited in Dublin but try google.ie

this is excellent advice ... the other place that will save your life is 'Fallon and Byrne' on Exchequer Street in the city centre, it's a high quality food hall.
