Please recommend restaurants/ shacks where we can sample the best lobsters Maine has to offer in the the Freeport, Bath, Portland areas. Thanks for your help.

I second Five Islands, Harrasskeet Lunch and Two Lights. They are all top tier.

went to harrasskeet lunch last night and had an amazing lobster roll ,onion rings were great too.great setting,byob,just get there way before sunset cuz the insects were even hungrier the us.

We loved Cook's on Bailey's Island. Excellent lobster and Maine steamers. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Great ride too.

Dolphin Marina in Harpswell, Two Lights Lobster Shack (east of Portland in Cape Elizabeth).

Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster in Freeport on the Harraseeket River. It's a BYOB pound and they have Whole and lobster rolls, steamers, fried food, desserts. Outdoor picnic tables and some inside seating.

Over the bridge in Bath, a few miles take the road to Georgetown/Five Islands to the Five Islands Lobster Co. Great lobster, crab, fish sandwiches, corn, potatoes etc. with a great view of the five pine tree covered Islands. Seating is outside so avoid on a rainy day.
