Suggestions for a weekday breakfast spot with some creativity in Northeast Philly, preferably in the Fox Chase area?

the only thing that comes to mind is the Country Club Diner on Cottman and Summerdale. Not much creativity, but hella good!

I haven't been to Country Club in years and I've heard terrible things ever since it was taken over by the Michael's people. Have you been recently? How is it?

Not exactly creativity, not exactly chow for sure, but when we lived in the NOrtheast (for 35 years or so) we always went to Jack's Deli, on Bustleton Ave for deli on our way back from every vacation. Come to think of it, we never had a restaurant to hit for breakfast the whole time we lived there... Nevertheless, it is an interesting cultural experience. Quality and value were high; they have everything--a tad noisy, definitely both senior citizen and child friendly.

I would not exactly have recommended the Country Club Diner for breakfast, even while we were living there.

LOVE Jack's! Sort of makes me sad I do not work in the NE anymore.

Jacks was the best on Saturday nights, the pickles rocked!

it's ok, they still have good Matzo Ball soup and a decent chicken salad hoagie. I still like sitting at a booth and looking out towards Cottman Ave. Makes me long for my high school daze!

Sister's Cafe on Loney at Oxford, right across from Joseph's and the bus depot. They have LeBus bagels, and their own pastries. A great little coffee shop.
