Breakfast in Silver Spring?

Visitors coming from out of town, we're looking for a place where we can take them out to breakfast on weekdays. Hoping for something better than IHOP or Denny's, but casual and moderately priced.

Needs to be in or very close to Silver Spring because of scheduling/transportation issues.

Any suggestions?

    1. Several in the garea:
      Parkway Deli,
      General Store at Forest Glen
      Eggspectation,
      Woodside Deli
      Tasty Diner

All have what I consider fairly good breakfasts for this area

Parkway Deli! Of course! Why didn't I think of that? We'll probably go there. It shouldn't be too crowded on a weekday morning.

The others on the list are good possibilities, too. But I didn't know the General Store did breakfast ...

          • There's also Nick's Diner at Veirs Mill and University in Wheaton. It is open Monday through Saturday until about three pm.

                Nick's Diner is great.

I like Nick's -- it was the first place I thought of -- but I haven't been there in a long time and can't remember if they have tables big enough for five people ... do they?
