Best happy hour in Plateau/Mile-end

Any suggestions for the best week-day 5 a 7 in the Plateau/Mile-end area? I'm looking for a place with an unpretentious vibe that I can hit up with co-workers/friends after work... and not break the bank if we become regulars. Ideally something in the square of St-Laurent/Parc and St-Viateur/Mont Royal. Any tips for the best days & places to take advantage of drink/food deals are appreciated!

    1. I've been to Chez Serge on St-Laurent corner Maguire, and they serve food during their 5à7... sandwiches and the such.

You could try "La Buvette Chez Simone" or "Le Massillia", both on Parc, the former is better "food-wise" the later is more "franco-french sport-bar" with cheap Ricard.

Mmmm... have been to Buvette Chez Simone on a few occasions (we actually had to leave work early last Thursday to secure a spot) but not the most accomodating place if you're going with a group of people. And while my mouth says yes, my wallet cries a little... wine bars + budget just don't seem to mix.

Haven't been to Massillia... and not opposed to finding a great dive-bar in the area to hit up on occasion.

If you had $15 in your pocket, it's a Monday or Tuesday afternoon, and it's been one of those days where you just need a drink, where would you go?

to the saq for a half-decent bottle.

              • I'd try HELM (Bernard), Cafe Local (St Viateur), Taza Flores (Parc), Club Social (St Viateur), le Cagibi (St Laurent). There's also L'Assomoir and Whiskey Cafe on Bernard but can't really reccomend those ...

                  1. Bond (www.bondloungegrill.com) on Fairmont has 5$ wine glasses from 4 to 7, but the hick is you need to get a tapas too as they do not have their liquor license.
