Naga Naga Ramen - Old Town Pasadena

I just noticed that there's a new Ramen place in Old Town Pasadena (in the old Thai-talian / Rice zen location). Has anyone been? How cool would it be if there was a good Ramen establishment in this area?

I've read some reports that this new place it somehow related to Noodle World so that doesn't bode well, their Ramen is very poor...

I had the worst meal in recent memory at the Valley and Garfield location. Ramen absolutely nodepth of flavor....you'd do better with a Cup o' Noodles. My wife ordered kim chee fried rice and believe it or not it was completely bland.

Wow. good to know. both locations are owned by the owner of Noodle World. Why'd you do it dkawai? Glutton for punishment?

I wish I knew Naga Naga was connected to Noodle World. I wouldn't have wasted my time on this place and gone down the road to MLV for some XLB's!

I could be very wrong, but with all the great eateries along that stretch of Valley, this place seems doomed. Or am I underestimating the tolerance for bad food around SGV?

It's good for the area it's in -- i.e., Old Town Pasadena -- but in the overall scheme of things it falls a couple of noodle strands just shy of mediocre.

On a good day it'll probably give a place like Ajisen a run for it's money. On a bad day, you're better off snuggling up with a bowl of Maruchan instant noodles.
