Solo Hound in Manhattan

I will be spending 8 days in the city, staying in Gramercy Park but willing to travel. I'm on my own. Would be interested in recs for good places for single diners. When alone, I like eating at the bar where possible. I eat anything and everything.

turks and frogs (any location) has a nice bar, perfect for drinking wine and eating their turkish delights.

taste on ues has a great wine list/cheese tray. i always go here and sit at the bar.

kefi - GREAT greek on uws. another place i go to and only sit at the bar.

riposo 72 is sleepy wine bar on uws. super friendly bartenders and i always see peeps reading at the bar, enjoying their pizzas and wine.

babbo has a great bar and people always eat at it.

bar boulud, resto, grape and grain, les enfants terribles are a few others.

i would go to any of these solo in a heartbeat.

What cuisines do you prefer? Any particular atmosphere or features (wine list, cocktails, etc.)? What is your price range?

Ethnic foods especially, though not exclusively--Asian, Italian, African, South American. A variety of price ranges--I'll probably do one or two splurges but would be interested in more reasonable places as well. Thanks.
