Dinner near SF MOMA tonight

escargot3 Jul 10, 2009 01:28 PM

We'll be going to the Museum tonite.
I often have dinner at Cha'am but thought I check in with my fellow hounders for other thoughts.
Any suggestions?

How about restaurant Two? More expensive but even a bit closer.

Le Charm is quite close, and a solid choice.

Not sure if you could get a reservation for tonight, or if you're up for fancy/pricey, but Ame and the Fifth Floor are also nearby.

Anchor & Hope is also pretty close.

Not sure what you're looking for, but for casual, fun, inexpensive Mexican (with great margaritas and ceviche) check out Tropisueno (http://www.tropisueno.com/). If you do go, and you're a fan of spicy, order the habenero salsa!

jdinsf, your link will not work well with the parentheses.

Thanks for linking. Tried to add it on an edit & just got a blank screen. Oh, well.

I used to really enjoy this place.. especially their roast chicken. But the last few times I went (albeit a few years ago) I found it rather disappointing -- dry.

            Are they better now?

            where did you end up?

              Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions.

In the end, my friend was stuck in traffic and dinner was my fave protein bar:
Larabar pistachio (only 3 ingredients: dates, pistachio and cashews).
But the exhibit of Avedon photos is great.
