Vigna dei Dardi - 1999 Barolo

Hi all,

I have a bottle of this laying down and was debting bringing it to a steakhouse to celebrate my sister's acceptance to her graduate program. Is this wine ready to drink yet or does it still require more cellar time? Alternatively, if not this specific vineyard, are 99 Barolos ready to go with a bit of decanting? Thank you for your help.

  1. I don’t know your particular Barolo, but I opened a 1999 Cascina Adelaide Barolo last night to go with a rack of lamb. I chose this particular Nebbiolo because I thought the bottle was leaking, but it wasn’t. I did not decant, but that bottle of wine was absolutely delicious.
