PA guy looking for hoagies (subs) down the shore

I am down the shore for a couple weeks and I am looking for a good "sub" shop near Cape May. Any suggestions?

  1. can't help you with the hoagies, but laughed that you put subs in parenthesis. I'm a Pensy girl living in Jersey and everyone looks at me quizically when I say I want a hoagie.

And they'd look at you even more quizzically if you asked for a grinder.

If your in the Toms River area try "GUSTOVAS" Italian deli off Mule road in Holiday City ...probably the best Italian style Hero Sandwiches in the area...and they free slice and lay it on thick !....they also have a Pastrie shop inside, home made Gelato too, & other italian favorites.

I believe the correct spelling is:
            Gustosa Gourmet Deli
            1 Plaza Drive #5
            Tom's River, NJ

      2. kinda close to cape may in atlantic city is whitehouse subs.
easily the best in the state, its a must do if you go into AC.
2301 Arctic Ave., Atlantic City, NJ

        1. Not sure if it is too late but the West Side Market in Cape May has good subs - hoagies - heros - sandwiches.

          Hope this helps

          1. White House Sub Shop, in Atlantic City. Nothing compares for miles!

I'll agree Whitehouse is an option, but it's a good 45 minute ride without traffic. Try to do it on the weekend and you're looking at 4 hours round trip for a "sub".

            2. I gotta say Primo's in Wildwood is the best at the shore
