Boston Cream Pie in Toronto?

Anybody know if there is someplace that sells Boston Cream Pie in Toronto? Either in a grocery store or a restaurant would be fine. I thought I saw one in the freezer section of a local grocery store when I first moved here, but alas, it doesn't seem to be sold there anymore.... (For those not familiar with it, it's actually a cake... yellow sponge cake with custard and a chocolate-fudgey topping.)

  1. I have seen them from time to time at Metro stores in their bakery Dept. Tried it once (topped with strawberries) and it was good. Not wow/ amazing but satisfies the need for a fix!

    1. Whole Foods now sells something they call Boston Cream Pie but, alas, they've misnamed what's essentially a chocolate cream pie; a very good one, mind you, but not Boston Cream.

      1. Bumping this thread. Has anyone seen Boston Cream Pie on any menus or in any bakeries lately? TIA.
