Cook's "8 oz disher"-- a huge ice cream scoop!

I have no idea if this is of use to anyone else, but it's a huge help to me:

We have to make a really revolting mixture of food (raw, ground turkey and cold, cooked oatmeal) for a dog who has food allergies. Then, we need to portion it out into tubs for the week. The stuff sticks to the portioning measuring cup (even after oil or a pam spray after a few portions), and digging it out of the cup is just gross. I'm tired of it. So, I was looking and looking to find a really big ice-cream scoop that would self-empty about 8 oz at a time. I looked and looked. I found one! Cooks makes one for prison kitchens!

I have no idea if anyone else has a use for this item, but it is a dream come true for me.

    1. Thanks for sharing! Yes! i could have used this item many times! As well as some others listed on this site I am sure I would not have found myself.

I know many hounds who volunteer at shelters, human and otherwise. Where unfortunately portion control is critcial to helping how many we can share/feed, both in making and serving. To me it is great find, a durable, usable size and the spoon servers as well.

A great utensil is great no matter *what* source
