Taco catering service (Marin)

Husky Jul 9, 2009 09:42 AM

Looking for a taco catering service (not a truck) for a party of 20-30 people on July 18. A truck won't work because the party is at a home in Mill Valley that is on the side of a hill. Any suggestions?

Ann Walker Catering www.annwalkercatering.com does great Mexican food.

Thanks for the reply, but we're looking for taco truck-esque tacos...down and dirty carnitas and al pastor...

How about talking to the folks at the Taqueria Santa Cruz truck at the Recycling Center aka dump? Maybe you can work something out. Read bunrab's report of 8/27:

I would be careful to find out how they plan on cooking the tacos on site. Most taco trucks probably do not have portable comals and the like since the truck supplies the kitchen. If they bring food in pans and keep it warm I do not think it will be good. Part of what makes the trucks great is that cooked to order flavor.

A friend found one that was highly recommended...

Taquitos Ponce--chef owner is Arturo Ponce

I'll post if we end up using his services...
