Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Boston (and suburbs)

Many restaurants closed on Mondays…

Ok everybody here is my dilemma. This month is my Birthday. And it falls on a Monday. And I wanted to go a nice restaurant for my Birthday. I wanted to go to Craigie Street Bistro. They are closed on Mondays. So I checked out Troquet and even that new place Erbaluce and they are closed as well. I am just looking for a nice place to go – does not have to be fine dining per se. Nothing sooooo gourmet that there is more garnish then substance. I am willing to travel beyond the Boston area (i.e. North Shore). I may just have to consider waiting until Tuesday? (sigh).

    1. I went over to Open Table and asked for a table next Monday at 7 pm. A vast list of options came up. Among the choices were, Bina, Hamersley's, Harvest, La Morra, La Voile, L'Espalier, Mamma Maria, No 9 Park, Prezza, Ten Tables, Union and Upstairs on the Square.

Is Monday night still lobster spaghettini night at Neptune? That's how I'd want to celebrate my Monday birthday!
