Looking for passion fruit paste or puree

does anyone know where in Los Angeles I can find passion fruit puree or paste?

Not quite, but almost a puree-the cans of Kerns Nector.

Surfas in Culver City has a huge selection of various purees. Not sure about passion fruit (though I expect that they would carry it), but you can always call to check.

This comes up every now and then. Any Latino market will have it -- Vallarta, Superior, Northgate Gonzalez, Don Juan, El Super -- in the freezer section. It's normally called "maracuya" (accent on the last syllable).

If you're down in OC ever, El Gaucho Market #2 on State College in Anaheim has it as well as a number of other South American fruit purees (cacao fruit, lucuma, etc.)

I bought some thick passion fruit syrup in a bottle from 99 Ranch Market a while back. It could have came from either the Philippines or Thailand? I saw it a few months ago on sale. Call to see if it is a regular item?

Food 4 Less typically has it in the frozen foods section. The most common brand is Goya. I am certain any latin or asian market will have it.
