why can't "new posts" on threads i've posted on be all "clustered" on the first page?
i'd like to see new posts on older threads, but i think it is a little annoying to have to click on page 2, then 3, then 4, then,,,,,,,
only to have the three or four "new posts" on each page cluster at the top of each of those pages.
if this has been addressed already, please accept my apologies and steer me to the answer.
thanks!

If you sort by "recent activity" rather than "my post date" on your "My Chow" page, you should get all the most recent replies on top.

in either "sort", it is the same issue, though.

Selecting "recent activity" clusters all new posts to threads I've commented on in the past to the top of the first page of MyChow. This used not to be the case but with the two choices it is now. After you run through the ones on the other pages (and after you've selected "recent activity" have someone go back and make a new post on one of your old threads and see what happens).

nope, i just looked, and, e.g., on page 3 there is a new post on the "apple a day" thread and on page 2, there is a new post on the "chiles" thread.
i'm sure if i go back more pages, there will be similar new posts on older threads, even with the "recent activity" sort.

That is a really good idea. Every time I post about some problem I'm having Jacquilynne tells me to do exactly that and my problem is resolved.
The corollary is; Why can't I remember to tell people that? A mystery of the mind.

My 'by recent activity' seems to be working okay, and viewing your profile that way seems fine, as well -- everything appears to be sorted in reverse chronological order based on the last post.
You do participate in a tremendous number of threads. I wonder if what's happening is that things are being pushed off your front page overnight before you even have a chance to see them on your front page, and then you don't notice them for awhile and that gives them a chance to drop back further.
If you're not seeing those pages sorted in reverse chron order by last post, can you email me some screenshots to jacquilynne dot schlesier at cbs dot com so I can take a look?
