Salted Mackerel Vendor

I have someone who's looking urgently for salted mackerel. Does anyone have the name of a store in the Bowie/Upper Marlboro/Washington,DC area who sells salted mackerel? The young lady's mother, who's 92 years old, wants some and her daughter is frantically trying to get some for her mom - you know, just in case!!!! Thanks. Thanks.

Depends on the kinds of salted mackerel. I had some russian ones at the European grocer next to Joes noodles off Rockville pike. Then the Asian ones which you grill can be found in H mart. Depends on the national origion of her mother, you will have to go to that specific ethnic market for the foods...I'd probably call them up first.

I have seen salted mackerel at the Asian supermart H-Mart.

Most Korean groceries should carry it - if you don't know the Korean name, it is "ja-ban go-deun-uh"
