birthday dinner

I need help deciding where to go for a nice 30th birthday dinner with my husband. I am considering Jezebel or Jeffrey's so far. Haven't been to either before. Might try the fix prixe menu or might not.

Which would you recommend? Open to other suggestions too.

Our anniversary place used to be Castle Hill if that gives you an idea of our taste, but we don't mind a more upscale environment. Really it's all about great food for us.

  1. Never been to Jezebal. Can't beat Jeffrey's.

    1. Just to add to your options ;) I really like Mirabelle for "special occasions." The times I've been there the food has just been delicious (I remember a duck gumbo?? maybe, a mixed mushroom appetizer, great fish, a fancy donut-like dessert). The atmosphere is classy/upscale without being stuffy or pretentious. FWIW.

      1. Hands down jezebel. I recommend the chef's tasting menu (different # of courses and w/wo wine to fit different budgets) but you can't go wrong ordering from the menu either.

By far my all time favorite place for special moments. Tell them in advance and they'll make a special dessert for you.
