Broadbent's Ham
Hey Hounds.
Last week on my excursion down yonder I got a chance to eat a Broadbent's in Kuttawa, Ky.
This is the best country ham I've had. Very tasty, salty, smokey goodness.
They have a nice little cafe/country store where they sell their wares which amount to much more than just ham. Bacon, sausage, BBQ sauce, pickles and many other items.
If you're in the Land Between the Lakes region, check them out.
I blogged about them too.

Glad you enjoyed Broadbent's! I've always been a huge fan, but I'm definitely a little partial since I grew up in Cadiz, KY where Broadbent's originated. A few years ago the Broadbent family sold the operation and the new owners moved it to Kuttawa. Actually, one of the Broadbent's was my 7th grade teacher and my first job during high school was at the Broadbent store in Cadiz.
If you want to taste test a whole slew of country hams, you should check out the Trigg County Country Ham Festival held the 2nd weekend of October every year in Cadiz. Years ago the Guiness Book World Record for the World's Largest Country Ham Biscuit was set during the festival. Here's more info: http://www.hamfestival.com/history.html
