Westside - Good take-out?

We're bringing food to a friend's home - nobody has the energy to cook.

Any thoughts as to what is good / holds up well?

Please don't say Whole Foods - I'm not a fan of their prepared food....

Thanks so much.

  1. thai boom on venice blvd near midvale
the good pizza on emerson near 80th in westchester

    1. Clementine, and they do curb side pick up so you never even have to leave the a/c seat of your car (how much more LA can you get!).

ADD:And if you happen to be doing this on a Friday check out their summer BBQ special menu here:

Thanks. I think they close at 3, though?

I forgot to add that it's for dinner in the OP.

          2. Mao's in Venice is always a crowd favorite.

            1. Shamshiri food is good take out and well packed; kebabs are fresh, salad is crisp and rice is endless. I agree about WF and add Ralphs to that one - not good at all in the prepared food department.

concur with both tofulicious24 about mao's kitchen and with ZoeZ about shamshiri.
                both recommendations are winners.
