We ended up at Kafe Mocha (Airport Bl & Aviation Av) for whatever the reason. It is a glorified Denny's but spiffier w/ somewhat better food and service. Next time, it'll be Willie's Wine Bar which I found out is just across the freeway and closer than Mocha. Thanks, everyone!

re: Sarah
Willi's is not just across the freeway. From Airport Blvd take 101 South to the River Road exit, turn left (east) onto River Road, cross over 101 and turn right (south) onto Old Redwood Highway. It's about a half a mile on the left.
Willi's is just down the street from us. We hardly go there anymore, mostly because the menu doesn't change enough for us and it's way too noisy for me (I'm fussy that way.)
Mocha is just up the street from the airport. It's basically a local-type Starbucks.

I was bold enough to order the F&C and hub had a BLT The fish was not the flaky kind , chips were meh, but OK. BLT was satisfactory w/ lots of choices of sides.
Had occasion to return to SR and this time ended up at Willie Bird's -- we had T-giving dinner via Hot Turkey Sandwich lunch. You have to ask for dark meat as they only list breast on the menu. Pretty good lunch, cheap enough and the place looks like it's been around forever. Active cocktail lounge.

Try My Ha Restaurant, (Vietnamese) Cafe Mocha or Mi Burrito on Aviation Blvd.
Tasty local fresh fare at Green Grocers just off the Windsor Green.
Also Ume Bistro for Japanese and sister restaurant Chinois Asian Bistro in Windsor.
For pub fare there's Patterson's. A little further is Willi's Wine Bar on Old Redwood Highway.›6 Replies-

re: lmnopm
I was there shortly after the airport restaurant opened. They were incredibly inept - had trouble getting anyone to notice my existence, and when I finally ordered, it took 45 minutes for my tuna melt to appear. And it wasn't very good - it had lots of time to sit around getting cold before it finally made its way to my table.
Hope they have their act together by now.
