Eastie Taquito Cart!
This is one of those "if you're in the nabe!" posts...Walking home from Airport T stop, past the soccer fields, I spotted an actual cart (with a license!) by the gazebo - A couple of young people had homemade taquitos , with potatoes and cheese, or..didn't catch the other one...that they then loaded up with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, lettuce, and my requested jalapeno - Very nice for $1.50!
Note: This is when you exit from the Outbound side (by the airport busses) and then turn right and go through the park. Look to your left for the gazebo as you get closer to the big brick building (that's my building - they used to make ALL the lighbulbs for the whole US there, in the early 1900s!).

Awesome find! Too bad I couldn't include them in that Stuff street food piece. (Still bummed that Madego has apparently retired or moved.) Approximate address, for Google mapping purposes?

re: MC Slim JB
MC - Yeah, I was happy! Especially after spotting signs that said "No vendadores" I thought, geez, they'd been banned before I even found them! This one, though, is legal, happily.
BTW, I spotted them around 8 PM last couple of days. Don't know their hours.
I couldn't Google Map it - If I were you, I'd use Airport T Station, or, for a street address, my building is 156 Porter St.
AND! I just realized they're part of a whole project for working with "at risk" teenagers: http://www.socialinnovationforum.org/... Very interesting!
