looking for a spot to bring another couple who frequent the Palm. Would love to expand their horizons - and an outdoor garden would be a big plus. any suggestions? italian or american - with a menu that might appeal to them. Thank you!!

when i saw the part about wanting to "expand their horizons" i assumed that meant something different.

if you want a steakhouse with outdoor dining, try Rothmann's or The Old Homestead.

Is there a back garden at Rothmann's? Afaik, the outdoor seating is on the sidewalk (54th St., b/t Madison & 5th).

you're right about the sidewalk seating...but at least they've got the outdoor part!
