I highly recommend this new restaurant. We actually ate there about 10 days ago but I figured I'd wait to start a thread until after the 4th of July holiday.
It is located at 437 Central Ave in downtown St Pete and was well worth the drive from Tampa. The food was great, the service friendly and professional and the prices spot on.
We had the pate, fries cooked in duck fat, gorgonzola bread, the Lobster BT, and a complimentary chocolate bread pudding courtesy of Chef Macchia when we stopped to compliment the dishes on the way out. Everything was great and I can't wait to go back and try the crushed deviled egg sandwich and the grilled poundcake. Please give this place a try and support a great locally owned restaurant.
I couldn't agree with you more--the duck fat fries are great, interesting wine and beer lists (at very affordable prices). Along with the pate and the spinach salad we also enjoyed the deviled egg sandwich and (my favorite) the garlic-y filet sandwich. It is a terrific addition to downtown with delicious, imaginative food at good prices.
We had another great meal there last night. Gorgonzola bread, pate, cauliflower soup, the fried green beans and asparagus. Filet sandwich and the roasted chicken sandwich. That roasted chicken sandwich is so good. Roasted chicken, beautiful fresh sauteed spinach, roasted tomatoes and fresh mozzarella on baguette. It was so pretty too. Nice atmosphere at the counter, actually sharing appetizers with other guests because there is such an enthusiastic vibe for the food.
