Lunaria Restaurant happy hour = 1/2 the strength drinks for 1/2 the price?

I know that this is probably a little OT, but I was @ an bar association meeting (yep) last night and ordered my usual scotch and soda – The person @ the bar poured the smallest amount of alcohol I have ever seen poured in a high-ball and filled it with soda – I mean this drink was almost clear – cost for 2 drinks is $ 6 @ happy hour. Told my SO that we were going to need a few of these things, tossed it back and went for another. Commented to the bartender that these were the weakest drinks I have ever had (trust me, I know something about how drinks should taste) and she shrugged and said happy hour – like the drinks are supposed to be cheap and ½ the portion of a normal drink. I don’t know, but if I were a restaurant/bar I would want to have folks come back for dinner and more drinking, but casting the illusion that the bar sucks would pretty much drive me away. Btw, the food pretty much blew for dinner – found it interesting that the menu said salmon but while fish showed up instead. I also ordered some red wine and was careful to get a refill before 7, but when I settled up later I noticed she hit me with full price – sorry babe, the time on a cell phone never lies – she had to adjust the bill. Most under whelming experience I have had in a while.

Bernard's eye has been off the ball for quite a while at Lunaria as his wife's been very ill. Hear they may remodel, which is surprising unless her health has improved, or ...? Any input from others?
