Whoopie pie- crushed pineapple filling?
I remember when I was growing up in Pottstown, PA, at church suppers, the ladies would make whoopie pies with a cream cheese and crushed pineapple filling. I remember the filling to be just slightly tangy and a bit lighter and fresher tasting with the pineapple. Could this be possible? Anyone else remember this?
