I'll be in town with my Father and daughter in August. I'm looking for a consistantly good restaurant in the area with a lively atmosphere that is not more than $30.oo for an entree. We are up for anything so long as it is good. My daughter also wants to find the best pizza in the area.Dinner is for a Sunday night. And my Dad is looking for good coffee in the am. Any help I can get from you guys would be much appreciated.

My pick would be Nougatine-not sure if it meets the "lively" need, but it is usually pretty full and buzzy...

Disagree on Brooklyn Diner. Food is fine, but crazy expensive for what it is. For example:

          Bacon cheeseburger -- $17.00
          Hot dog -- $17.95
          Tunafish sandwich -- $17.50

It's near my office and occasionally I am dragged there for lunch. Never get out for under $30 per person.

Whym on 9th Av. between 57th and 58th. Get the meatloaf. Quite hip but not loud and in your price range.

Landmarc at the TIme Warner Center....nice views and eclectic, kid-friendly menu.
