I need help finding a waterfront bar on the North Shore!!

I moved to Wakefield from the North End about nine months ago. Now that the snow has melted and the rain has stopped I am dying to sit on an outdoor patio drinking sangria or something else (at this point it doesn't really matter, it's been a long week). Any suggestions???

I don't feel like driving back into the city but I am starting to think it could be my only option?!?!?

PLEASE HELP THIS GAL IN NEED OF A WATERFRONT COCKTAIL!!

Thanks Everyone

Head to Marblehead for a nice taste of outdoor dining in Old Town: Maddies, The Landing and the Barnacle and out on the neck at the yacht clubs. Cheers!

Lots of good places mentioned. I'll throw in The Landing in Marblehead. Right on the harbor. The food is good, a little overpriced, but the view is terrific.

The Rockmore is a floating barge/bar/restaurant in Salem Harbor. Has anyone noticed if it is open yet this season? The last time I was up that way in the middle of June it was still closed. I haven't tried any of the food and I'm guessing that it isn't too great, but if you are looking for a waterfront drink, you can't do much better. There is even a free shuttle boat out from either the parking lot in Marblehead or the dock in Salem.

Red Rock in Swampscott doesn't get a lot of love on the board but you can't beat it's location on a bluff overlooking King's Beach

I know that in Melrose, there is an outdoor patio in Mexico Lindo. They have great sangria as well. I don't know if they let you sit outdoors just for drinks tho. No waterfront though.

Also, if you don't mind the drive, Danversport Yaght Club has a great outdoor restaurant, again you might have to buy a ight meal. You sit overlooking the water and $$$ ships parked on the dock. Very lovely, but not lively. Lot's of old folks go there. :)

In Marblehead, I like the Barnacle. Also the Corinthian Yacht Club is open to the public and gets a good crowd on Thurs/Fri night. Great porch overlooking the harbor..out on the neck.

Gloucester has a few waterfront spots..can't recall the names. Latitude 45, Madfish Grill??

Here's a couple but you are right there's not nearly enough. The Black Lobster, Finz, Victoria Station, Cap'ts all in Salem, Tides in Nahant, Captain Carlo's in Gloucester. I like Finz and Captain Carlo's if you in for a ride.
