Frozen Dim Sum Recommendations

SenorSuarez Jul 5, 2009 12:52 PM

Of course frozen isn't as good as the real thing, but when it comes to dim sum, what brands and types do you recommend? I'm especially interested in shrimp products, since I haven't been too happy with those that I've tried so far (too fishy tasting). The market that I go to has about 100 choices to choose from and I could use some help!

Here are ones that I recommend:
Wei Chuan mini pork dumplings
Prime Food mini pork buns
Prime Food sticky rice in lotus leaf

It isn't available for retail just yet but will be in a month or so: EDS Wrap and Roll makes very high quality dim sum that is frozen and beautifully wrapped. I was lucky enough to be invited to a tour of the factory and brought some home to try. Highest quality packaged dim sum I have ever had!
