Restaurant near Burbank airport needed

I'm meeting a friend who is flying into Burbank at 4:30 on a Tuesday evening and who is later driving up to THousand Oaks. I am coming from Culver City and want to meet her as close to Burbank Airport as possible.

What we eat is less important than not dealing with traffic at 5 pm. I don't want a hotdog stand, but any type of ethnic restaurant or American restaurant that is not a Chilis type place would be fine.

This is an old friend I haven't seen in a few years and I'd like a quietish place where we can talk.

Sorry to be so vague, but I don't normally eat in that area. Price is not crucial though I prefer not to pay an arm and a leg.

Bistro Provence on Pass or Prosecco on Riverside Dr. in Toluca Lake would be good choices. They are easier for for you to get there off the 134 Freeway but close to the airport. They are in the direction that she will be travelling. And they are not chains.

Good point. Freeway-close makes more sense than airport-adjacent, and offers a better range of choices. In regards to both Culver City and Thousand Oaks.

The Smoke House is an old favorite in the area - right near the studios. Their garlic bread is to die for - we ALWAYS bring some back on the plane when in the area. It's not the cheapest but great, old steakhouse feel and atmosphere.

this particular daily grill is one of the few restaurants that my wife and i simply walked out of because the silverware was filthy and we couldn't find anyone to wait on us. the ramp is a much better choice.

If you want close, how about literally across the street from the airport entrance ? Total drive time about 90 seconds.

There is a Daily Grill attached to the Marriot Hotel across Hollywood Way from the main entrance to the airport. It's a pretty quiest place (usually) and they've got big, comfortable booths and the place has be updated fairly recently. I've eaten there fairly regularly over the years - usually business related meals. It's acceptable fair and they have a full bar.

In the Marriott (was the Hilton) across the street, a Daily Grill exists - a step up from Chili's - It's not too busy, so the pace should be slow and quiet!

You would be fine with Gary Bric's Ramp. Very close to the airport. Note that the restaurant website has a 10% off coupon that you can print and use for your dinner, as it's good from Sunday through Thursday
