We were talking about hungarian food the other night and this place was mentioned. It's on Bathurst, just south of Wilson and has been around for a number of years. Just curious if anyone has been? Apparently it's pretty good and very reasonable. Might be added to my winter list.

Food is good if what you want is available that day. Service is generally abyssmal -- slow, inefficent, and forgetful. Stopped going when Europa opened at Bathurst just south of Lawrence. Food is as good or better. Service is generally excellent and unlike Paprika they have a wooden platter.

I think Europa is almost right next door to the King David falafel place, on the west side of Bathurst just south of Lawrence. So no, not where Coleman’s was. I think that space is still empty.

I haven’t been to Paprika in about 4 years. I used to love it but as I got older the dreadful service became increasingly insufferable. So I don’t go anymore. Plus it was cash only at the time (and might still very well be), which to me, these days, is a huge pain in my tookus.

The last time I was there the schnitzel was its usual wonderfulness but some other dish I ordered came with sour cream that had gone bad. That was the end of that. Haven’t been back since. I’ve heard great things about Europa myself and look forward to giving it a shot.
