Has anyone been to Pho Golden Bowl on Queen City Ave in Manchester NH? I have heard good things about it and always seems busy. If so, is it primarily Vietnamese?

The cuisine is Vietnamese, if that's what you're asking. I've been there a few times and always left feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. It's usually on my list of places to hit whenever I go to Manchester on business, but then again I love Vietnamese food! Check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

BTW, it's ALWAYS a good sign when a restaurant is always busy!

I'm one that has always had good things to say about Golden Bowl but last time the goi cuon rolls smelt like bad shrimp and we haven't been back. Hubby wasn't ever as thrilled as I was, now we're on the same page. We are spoiled by all the wonderful asian restaurants down in the Lowell area (viet, thai, cambodian, laotian, etc) - Pho 88 still remains are favorite (just off Rt. 3 - Drumhill Rd.- Lowell).

Sorry you had a bad experience at GB patti--last time we went I had the salt & pepper pork chops, which were great. There is a new veg roll on the menu. It has a funny name like "wonderful delicious" roll--quite good. We're big fans of the pho--I actually think the broth at GB has more depth of flavor than Pho 88, but that's a matter of personal taste.
BTW, just got back from a quick vaca in California--the airport at Sacramento has a fast food stand that sells pho and Thai green curry!

In the airport?? How cool. Airports are starting to improve by bringing in great stuff - we were in New Orleans recently and our flight was delayed so we enjoyed some great NOLA (again) just before leaving.

I do love their GB s&p pork chop, I don't think Pho 88 has that on the menu.
