Lobsters out of a truck on the North Shore?

I've read various reports about lobstermen (or maybe I should say "lobsterpeople") selling lobsters direct out of a truck or right off the boat. I am up for a little drive and was wondering if anybody knows where I might find the forgoing around Boston or on the North Shore?

Thanks!

    1. I haven't been myself but someone recently mentioned a truck in Marblehead that sells lobster...outside the Landing; near the town/fishing pier.

          Excellent, thanks!

I rode up there but he wasn't around. The harbormaster did confirm he is often there- apparently a lot on the weekends. He also said he would be at the farmer's market from 9-12, which is supposeldly somewhere near the Three Cards. We will give it a try. In the meantime, Woburn Market Basket has them at $5.99 . . .

                  maybe Three Cod Tavern?

That is funny. I am sure it is Three Cod and not Three Card. Thick MA accent.

                2. Yes, I read about him on Phoo-D's website.

His name is Crowell, he sells out of his truck and here is the blip:

"Marblehead Boat Yard at 89 Front St., just behind the Landing Restaurant. Crowell said the move affords an increase in foot traffic and better visibility for cars driving by.

Crowell’s business is cash only, but it’s well worth the stop at an ATM before heading down to Front Street. Prices change with the market, but he sells his lobsters for a dollar or two per pound over what he would net selling them to wholesale distributors."

It would be great if somebody could get his cell number, or if there was another way to find out when he is there or isnt....

I thought I got this info off of Phoo-D's website, but I didn't. It was off North Shore Dish's blog, sorry about the error. It doesn't list a phone number, but does give the times he is there.
Looks like just Sat. & Sun's from 2-4pm.

Here is the link to our original post on Paul Crowell. http://www.northshoredish.com/2009/03/11/got-lobster/

He was at the Marblehead Farmer's Market two weeks ago when we were there. It runs 9-12 on Saturdays. Not 100% sure he'll be there every week, but I think so.

Crowell was there today. I had to go down to the dock and picked the lobsters out of the pot.

                                      how much a pound?

I paid $4/lb for lobster on the Marblehead Fish Dock last summer from a lobsterman on his boat. I've tried to find Crowell but have never been successful.
