Here is a thread from earlier within the past year - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/533648
My favorites that I have gone to are Pats and Jeffs Gourmet Sausage - I had gone to the Beverly Hills Prime Grill and liked it had a great meal but as I understand it has closed -
Two places I want to go on my next trip to Southern California will be Smokin' and Tierra Sur that I have heard are excellent - I went to the restaurant opened by the ex-Sous Chef of Tierra Sur in Mountain View in Silicon Valley - If his menu is any indication of what is offered at Tierra Sur it should be excellent!

Though I've never eaten there, I know Tierra Sur is great having eaten at Todd's Mosaica in the past. Im not sure he has the same passion for charcuterie that Chaim David has, but nevertheless does some cured meats. Thanks for placing my restaurant on your list- got in trouble for mentioning it myself. I would add a few restaurants- Shiloh's on Pico, for French influenced bistro fare, though mostly identified as a steakhouse, and The Fish Grill in Malibu, due to its solid food and proximity to the beach, and Le Sushi, for arguably the best kosher sushi in LA, fresher than most. For the most part, LA has at best solid but not exciting food, with a few exceptions.

No problem - I have heard many good things about your restaurant and I can always go for some Barbecue - only thing my travels have only taken me to northern california -
