Dinner has also been good, but I do wish that Serge would expand the wine list. Still, for lunch, this has never been an issue. What I did not realize, until recently, was that my wife has been interviewed by two local magazines and one local newspaper, and this was a question that all asked. Great prices as well. They made a wonderful cheese plate (off menu) - and a tapas platter. Excellent! Then we had the Asian salad with chicken - it was a T Cooks "original" and to be honest it wasn't all that. It was tasty, and we've been SEVERELY underwhelmed with salads in AZ since moving here - so I can see why it's rated high. Everything is relative. It was good - but not something I'd order again. Then we had a fabulous desert - creme brulee on top of a cheesecake and it was very good. Three of four isn't bad. The ambiance was very nice, and the Royal Palms is a fantastic hotel. Much nicer than the huge, luxury hotels Phoenix seems to be known for. I will definitely go back. Oh, I wasn't too impressed with the wine BTG list - but the bottle list was decent. We just drank beer - no draft but some nice bottles. I'll definitely be back. And I look forward to trying Arcadia Farms and Sophie's French Bistro! Have never done a straight "lunch," but several weekend brunces, plus catered events and dinners. Since you already had a good rec. for them, I just wanted to add another option to the list.
