Any hounds ever try this place for lunch or dinner?

the rooftop is not private. not the restaurant part at least. if you walk in and ask the front desk they will give you an access card. my bf and i walked up a few weeks ago. we had just ate so we didn't stay but we always talk about going back. i am waiting for danny meyers to take over. the menu was nothing special but definitely pricey.

was there last week. everything was good, but not incredible. cocktail list was excellent - wife had something called diamonds and pearls and she loved it.

more of a romantic venue then sceney...

I get a free lunch there when I stay as an Amex Platinum member. Since my time in NYC is very limited this trip and there are so many places I love and want to eat at while there, just wondering if the free lunch is worth it.

Gotcha. I've only been to the Rose Bar/Jade Bar in the hotel, wish I could be of more help.

not worth it at all, even if it's free. food was barely edible (both in the room and at the rooftop bar). cold eggs, stale breads, cold coffee. do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. it is, however, a great place to get a (very expensive) drink at night.

also, while it's supposed to be for hotel guests only, all you have to do is call the front desk and make a reservation and anyone can go up there.
