Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in New Orleans

Picking and Choosing New Orleans Delicacies

I often go to certain new orleans restaurants for only one item thats outstanding for instance the frozen bourbon milk punch at Bourbon House is fantastic and as far as I know the only place that serves it. Others are the Frenchuletta at Liuzzas beyond belief great. BBQ Oysters at the Redfish Grill, Oysters on the halfshell at Casamentos the grilled shrimp poboy at Guys to name just a few. Any body else do the same Let me know..

    1. I talk about this in my recent trip report: Mr. B's BBQ shrimp were so good that we went there three times in one trip just for that dish.

        1. Plus 1 on oysters on the half shell at Casamento's. Add the BBQ Shrimp po boy at Liuzza's by the track, Hansen's for the cream of nectar sno ball with condensed milk, Napoleon House Pimms Cup, Brigtsen's for the duck (although there is so much more there to love!) I guess there are probably a lot more, but none that I can think of off of the top of my head.
