My husband and I will be in San Francisco for 1 night. He desires some fabulous, buttery, melt in your mouth Lobster. Here's the catch...he's never tried it. Yes....I know...please help me! I love lobster and want this to be an amazing experience. We are looking for ambiance, and I am looking for the kind of Lobster that steps in as a lucious tempstress for a mercury hater. Cheers.
It's not that easy to get good lobster in San Francisco. Since it'll be his first time, you really want it to be excellent. Two places (expensive) I would trust are: Gary Danko and Michael Mina (his lobster pot pie). Both places use very fresh Maine lobster. I've heard that the lobster tail (frozen, from Australia, I think) at Scoma's is good.
Actually, I think you should order lobster for yourself (since YOU love it), let him order what he wants, and then give him a portion of your lobster to try.
