Kolache in the City
Does anyone know where I can get a kolache either in Manhattan or Queens?
I first had these when visiting family in Houston, TX but have not come across them in NYC.

These are the same as the confiture-filled Polish cookies known as kolaczki, right? You can find those at the Polish deli on 1st Ave between 6th and 7th.

Nope...Haven't seen them once in the 5+ years I've lived here. Man, I'd kill for a kolache.

Well, you won't have to wait much longer. Kolache Mama opens in September in the Vanderbuilt. Expensive, but a nice treat. My favorite is the ham and cheese.

2.99 a kolache is not expensive. considering the size of the product. These kolaches are bigger than the kolaches in texas. Also there is a bigger variety as far as flavors
