Where are the best fish tacos in SD?

Going to San Diego for the 4th weekend. Where can I get some awesome fish tacos? Or any good eats near the Sea World area?

Well, we ended trying Blue Water and got the swordfish taco, salmon taco, ceviche, and clam chowder. The tacos were good, fresh, and huge! The ceviche was so-so. Not very fresh and not enough ceviche juice. The clam chowder was very thick and tasty. Overall, it was very good. But I have to say the best thing we ate in SD was Phil's BBQ. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Just came back from The Fishery on Cass Street in Pacific Beach (about a 10-12 minute ride from Seaworld)....their swordfish tacos are the BEST fish tacos I have had anywhere in San Diego. They throw on cotija cheese for amazing flavor and the dish comes with rice pilaf (not that crappy, dirty brown rice most places serve) and beans (though you can substitute more rice or cole slaw). All this for only $10 for high end restaurant quality fish tacos....I also found out that The Fishery supplies Oceanaire with their fish.

Original poster also stated they were looking for some other good eats near Seaworld....in that regard, Baci is probably the finest Italian restaurant in all of San Diego. Not cheap, but very good and around the corner from Bay Park Fish Company on Morena Boulevard.

Good call on Baci for fine Italian dining near Sea World. Too often overlooked, I think, due to its unsexy location, Baci does indeed provide a classic Italian fine dining experience with professional service. Don't be too put off by the dreary exterior.

I second Fishery's Fish Tacos. AMAZING. The sides didn't impress me-- but you can't get a fish taco with fresher fish anywhere in SD. (The Fishery supplies just about everybody who matters.)

It's maybe 4 exits south on the 5 from Sea World.

As well if you want real close to Sea World, right down the way in Point Loma is Wahoo's Taco's. Not the best...but good.

Though I will say I've driven by the Bay Park place and am curious to try it.

Bay Park Fish Company across the street from Sea World Drive/I-5 on Morena blvd..
They have a happy hour and great fish tacos..

The smoked fish salad plate is also excellent at BPFC. Kirk K turned me on to it (it was the missus' favorite for a while).

South Beach Bar and Grill has it's detractors on this board, but I really like their lobster, mahi mahi, shark, and wahoo tacos. It is in Ocean Beach which is close to Sea World.

I can enjoy the fish tacos at South Beach if I get the sauce and salsa on the side. Their fried oyster taco is very good, if you haven't tried it it's worth a shot.

The best fish tacos closest to Sea World would probably be a Blue Water Grill on India.

Mariscos German and Mariscos Godoy have the best fish tacos but they aren't particularly near Sea World. Is that where you're staying? Will you have transportation (and are willing to drive)?

Yeah, we are staying near Sea World. We have a car, but I don't want to go too far. Thanks for the suggestions!
