I've been to most of them but haven't tried Sammy's Downtown Bistro or Rosie's. And I've noticed both are pretty booked most of the time. Are they really that good, or is it just that there's not much else there?

Haiku is nice, and I've found Underhill's to be a good experience as well.

Crowded means little in judging quality, remember that Red Lobster and Charlie Brown's are always packed too.

I like Haiku and I've hear Underhill is good, if expensive. I just wondered about Sammy's and Rosie's.

I wish I could tell you from first hand experience. I've heard very good things about Sammy's. Only complaint was portions, but this was coming from serious eaters, not necessarily CHers.

As for Rosie's, I have heard only good things about the place, but ironically, nothing stood out to me on the menu that has driven me there. Looks and sounds like the run-of-the-mill red sauce place. Until I hear great things, I'll pass. I'm usually disappointed in Westchester Italian places anyway.

I have been too. I've heard Spiritosa in Yonkers is good and I know a lot of people like Zuppa's.

I haven't been impressed with Haiku. There were scales in my sushi, and the other dishes are ho-hum. Nice place though. I like Rosie's a lot...great food, but service is inconsistent, depending on who serves you...sometimes excellent, sometimes indifferent and annoyed.

I also don't see whats so great about Haiku. Reminds me of all the other mom and pop non-Japanese run Japanese restaurants all over Manhattan. Not that its bad, its just very run of the mill.

I guess for Bxville we like Rosies and Underhill, Kraft is ok but it was very spotty the last time we went.

I found the food at Rosie's to be pretty good. Not to fall in love with, but all solidly good with no clunkers. Service was adequate. Sammy's was not as solid on the one occasion I ate there, with a couple dishes that were pretty good, but a couple others that were merely OK. Service was a bit amateurish, although that visit was early in its life.

Both Rosie's and Sammy's are quite good. I've eaten at Rosie's more than I've eaten at Sammy's and I have had some very delicious and satisfying meals there. The carpaccio at Rosie's is particularly memorable as is a stew of shellfish with pasta.

Ate at Rosie's 3 times, dinner once at the bar, dinner once in dinning room and lunch once in dinnnig. All 3 times were pedestrian to terrible. Although, it seems I'm the only one that thinks so. Their sister restaurant, Sammy's Downtown is a different story. I had 2 dinners and 2 lunches. Only one of the meals was dissapointing, an overcooked burger, which I mentioned to the server, which she wanted to redo, I said no, ate the whole thing, and they STILL took it of the bill.

I know two groups that have gone recently and said it is much improved. I have heard the portions are bigger than when it first opened also. Everyone is gaga over their pizzas, too.

I think the food at Rosie's is decent, but not memorable in any way. I like the atmosphere there, and the price point is good for a casual night out. I always enjoy going there, but if you go expecting wonderful food you'll be disappointed.
