Any good deals still around (not Summerlicious)?

Curious to see if some of the previously named restaurants are still doing recession deals. We still are in a recession, though not the apocalyptic free-fall of the past six months. Colborne Lane is no longer offering a lunch at $29, and Jam Café doesn't have its $19 menu anymore.

Sidecar is still offering the $24 prix fixe on Sundays through to Thursday. It's fantastic value and a truly wonderful spot. Good food, friendly and attentive service, and the back patio is lovely.

Never been to Sidecar. Sounds like it's worth checking out.

Sidecar's prix fixe runs from Sunday to Wednesday. I went recently and ordered the steak frites. very tender steak. great frites. dessert of the night was flourless chocolate chip, which was 2 triangles of the cake with a raspberry sauce.

I don't know about Colborne, but Jam Café still has its $19 prix fixe.

According to Graham, owner of Simple Bistro, they'll be offering a prix fix ($25 or $35, I forgot) starting in Feb. Good solid QPR neighbourhood restaurant and their $10 BYO corkage fee for us wine geeks don't hurt. :-)
