Does anyone know of a good tea house in the Dallas Area?

Two years ago I studied at Oxford University for the summer, and as a result, I am quite hooked on English style tea houses. If anyone knows of any good places in Dallas that serves a wide variety of teas and accompanying pastries/sandwiches, I would really appreciate it if you would let me know.

If there aren't any good tea houses around, I would settle for knowing about a good pastry shop where I can get pastries to enjoy at home with my tea.

You might be able to enjoy a good cream tea at this place:

    Maudee's Cafe & Tea Room
    4333 Lovers Lane
    Dallas
    (214) 526-9750

The Adolphus hotel in downtown has a very nice English style afternoon tea. However, you'll have to wait until the fall, as it is seasonal from September through June. It is worth every penny!

I'm not sure if it's authentic, but there is a tea house in historic downtown mcKinney called the Lavender Tea Room.
          i haven't been, so i can't give a rec.

            I second the Lavender.
Three of us went there in the spring and had a very nice
            lunch with interesting teas.
I don't remember if they serve High Tea, though.
