Sushi Yasuda Omakase

Does anyone have a general idea how much the omakase is at Yusuda? I have a lunch res at the bar and would like to indulge, though since I have to ask, I probably can't afford it, but just in case, I would like to be prepared. And how is it still worth it to get a la carte at the bar as opposed to the tasting, or is it really that much different?

  1. you can order a la carte at the bar...though if you like a particular fish or a piece or preparation that the chef makes for you, you can ask them to focus on it...i usually insist on various eel, uni, and salmon depending on whats the freshest and in season.

    you can mention ahead of time to the chef how much you are looking to pay. i usually go to see hiro...who's very sweet and very cool...he'd be cool with it. if i dont say anything, you can sort of guess how much itll be...around 10-12 pieces would cost around 80-100, 15+ pieces should be 120-150 at least...so watch yrself.

    now is a great time for salmon if im not mistaken...get what is circled on the menu.

    1. I usually eat 30+ pieces and it runs between 150-200 but since he doesn't mark down what you eat until the end of the meal it gets interesting trying to figure out how much its going to cost. I figure it's generally about 5 bucks per piece. If you do it a la carte, you can just look at the menu and keep a running tab in your head.
