Just walked by and learned that it is closing today. Not sure if they are serving today. I really liked this place - especially the baked eggs - and wanted to pass on the sad news.

I was hanging out next door (well, 2 doors away) at Chestnut today, listening to the bands and watching the Stinky's cheese eating contest on the stage in front of Smith & Vine. Sad situation at 'teca.... cash only today, serving till they run out of time or provisions & then that's it. I've only been a couple of times, but I'm on that block enough to like the owner and feel really sorry for the closure.
