New Soft Serve Flavors at Momofuku Milk Bar

I normally gravitate towards the baked goods at milk bar, but this month's soft serve flavors are all exceptional, just in time for summer. The fruit flavors are delicious and intense (blackberry and apricot) while the herbals (lemon verbena and rosemary) are milky, smooth, and more delicately flavored. The blackberry and lemon verbena are a perfect mix.

i'm going to really miss the twizzlers and fireball flavors ...

Grabbed a cup of the bberry/lemon-verb this wknd. The flavor combo was interesting and summery, but I couldn't finish it. I sampled the apricot and, while it was initially tasty, I don't think I could have eaten a cup of it. I think I'm more of a chocolate gal.

Yeahhhh, I find that the samples of the ice creams are usually enough for me. But then again, I've only had the donut flavors (ehh to blech) and the sour gummie (interesting, but probably can't eat a whole cup). these flavors sound much better.

Yeah I too have found the samples to be almost more than I could handle. Even when I really liked the stuff. I wish they would error on the side of savory, and delicate flavors and trust their creativity instead of just loading them up with richness, and sweetness.

Just for my own personal reference, did you enjoy the jelly donut flavor?

I can't remember if I tried the jelly donut, but I don't remember being as knocked out by the donut flavors. I liked this month's soft serves because they are simply based on seasonal flavors. There's still a lot of textural contrast, depending on how much dairy is in each individual flavor, which makes for a nice creamsicle-style sherbet/ice cream combo.

Thanks for the reply. I asked because I HATED the jelly donut. Tasted like really sour sorbet and nothing like either jelly or a donut. Grossed me out to the point where I couldn't even eat it.

I enjoyed the old-fashion donut flavor much better than the jelly donut flavor.
