Cafe del Rey?

I am meeting my brother half way to both of us in Marina del Rey. He suggested Cafe del Rey, I've never been. How is it food wise??

Glad to hear it's still recommended. Many years ago we took our better clients there, and a great treat was to experience the comparative pourings of after-dinner drinks, with accompanying education from the wine steward [disclosure: a friend of one of our employees]. I esp liked the port comparisons of different ages.

It's food is actually quite good, and was a little innovative when we last dined there a while back. But a friend was there last week and said it was still good.

Had lunch with my brother yesterday and the entire experience was divine! It is right on the water, which made me think the food wouldn't live up to the decor. I was wrong. I had the special $22 for two courses, couldn't of been happier with the food. Service was top notch. My brother had the bento box and gobbled every bit. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for your insights before my visit, you were right on!!

I think its quite good! The service was nice, a bit pricey, but good. I definitely would go.
