Recently I noticed they were carrying Prime Meat for a slightly higher price, natch. Tried to stick with my usual steaks, but found they weren't at all as tender. Is it possible that they were selling Prime Grade before, but are now carrying both Prime and Choice? Or, was there a mid-grade they had before, technically "Choice", but actually top-end choice, or nearly Prime? Anyone know about this? I would consider rib-eye or strip sirloin as a good candidate in the prime grade, IMO better flavor and more tender. Remember grading is the opinion of the inspector but, marbling tells the story. Either way Costco meat prices are excellent.
