Blue SmokeI Trulli (wine room or restaurant)Bao Noodles
Saravanaas on the NW corner of Lex & 26th is truly excellent Sout Indian food. Excellet mixed vegetable paratha, dosa, and utthapam.
actually, i've heard the food at Jazz Standard isn't bad!
other considerations (some of them only if you're willing to travel 7 or 8 blocks):Resto'inotecaOlana ( a little pricier)CosettePamplona (again, a little pricier)
Jaiya Thai on 28th and 3rd for great SPICY thai food!!!!Les Halles on 28th and ParkI agree with the previous poster that Pamplona is great!
Forgot Artisnal and Turkish Kitchen. . .also quite good.
we went a little further to The Redhead so our international guests could enjoy some "American" food. As a southerner, I gotta say, those shrimp and grits are DEAD ON! Deicious. Thanks for your suggestions. Will check em all out at some point.
